H.R. 1 "For the People Act" -- Senate
Passed in the House, moves to Senate.
The House of Representatives recently passed H.R. 1., a bill sponsors claim will protect democracy and reform our elections. But the “For the People Act” contains multiple provisions that would actually weaken our elections and open the door to more fraud. As it moves to the Senate, it’s crucial that you understand the dangers of H.R. 1.
Under the “For the People Act,” the federal government will…
- Trample states’ authority to establish their own election registration procedures.
- Implement same-day voter registration and automatic voter registration (ACV) in all 50 states, whether states want those policies or not.
- Expand mail-in voting to all 50 states.
- Essentially nullify states’ current voter ID laws.
- And much, much more.
Research has shown that many of these policies actually increase the chance of voter fraud. By federalizing the election system to this degree, the “For the People Act” will make our elections much more vulnerable to sweeping election hacks and interference.
This is not election reform — it’s an attempt by the far Left to claim more federal control. Please contact your senators about H.R. 1. Let them know what you think of the "For the People Act."
